And if those two are out, what about philosophy? Can we talk Nietzsche and Boyer? Or maybe just the old guys: Epicurus and Plato.
So please respond by saying what you think are acceptable topics when alcohol is being consumed and why the others are taboo. Thank you for your thoughts.

NOTHING is taboo. It sucks when you have to drink and not think. Apparently it is okay to talk about drinking while drinking and about tv shows and other banal subjects. I try to have different tiers of friends for different tiers of drinking and thinking. Unfortunately too many are on the bottom tier as far as topics. I'm working on that.
we could always talk about past trips together...
and plan new ones.
at least we aren't friends with Hitler.
